Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Dean Petriw started his career in commercials at the precocious age of 4. His natural gift for the craft quickly had him moving on to more substantial roles. At the age of 7 Dean wrote, directed, and starred in a short film for a local youth-film challenge. The film won a trio of awards. Since then Dean has appeared in various TV shows including ABC's "Once Upon A Time", FOX's "Wayward Pines", Freeform's "Beyond", TNT's "Falling Skies", and a juicy 2-season recurring arc in Apple TV+'s "Home Before Dark", to name a few. As a voice artist, he plays the lead role of Henry/Boost in the Netflix animated series "Starbeam". Prior to that, he voiced characters for Cartoon Network's "Ninjago" and Teletoon's "Super Dinosaur". He has also appeared in the films "Kindergarten Cop 2", "Midnight Sun", and "Sonic The Hedgehog". When not on-set, Dean can be found playing soccer, table tennis, doing cross country, and studying every sports strategy and statistic known to man!
