Gerald Kyd was born in Pretoria, South Africa. His heritage is Greek and Scots. Gerald trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. He has worked extensively in theatre, television and film. On television, he is known for Persons Unknown, Cold Feet, Harlots, Deep Water and Casualty. In theatre, he has worked with the Royal National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, both in London's West End and New York.
