Ellie O'Brien

Ellie O'Brien is an actor, writer, and director from Glasgow, Scotland. As a child, her family immigrated to Canada where she settled in Toronto and began her acting career. She is most known for her role as Grace in My Life with the Walter Boys (Netflix). She can also be seen in Netflix's Designated Survivor, Grand Army, and Workin' Moms. She stars in Black Fawn Films' upcoming feature film It Feeds alongside Ashley Greene. Beyond her career as an actress, Ellie studied film and television at Sheridan College, specializing in the art of screenwriting. In her final year of study, she wrote and directed her student thesis film, The Truth about Church Club. The film earned the People's Choice awards for Best Film, Best Screenplay, and Best Directing at the Sheridan Screen Arts Awards and is currently on a festival run. Post-graduation, Ellie is passionate about empowering women and children through the art of film. She applies her unique background in performance to empower the actors she works with, create original, genre-blending works, and continue to study the art of performance.
